Im back

For awhile i took a break from blogging. But I'm back and have quite a bit of news. In June i got two more piggies. Who were about four months old. I have set their birthday for April 1st.

.:Coco Chanel and Puff Tart:.

They both had lice. They were both treated and the lice was killed. Coco had it the worst, and she is still very sensitive when you touch her back. Both piggies are growing fast and healthy.

In June/July i got another piggie from my sisters friend. About 7 years old. Shes a very shy and sweet girl.

Then in September i found a home for Stella and Tink. I felt like i couldn't give everyone the same attention.

Jazzy recently had her 5th birthday, on Nov 16th. We did a little something for her to celebrate her birthday.

I have also added a new video for our Youtube Channel

All four girls are living in a 2 level C&C cage.

Cage redone

so over the weekend. I found out the way I had the cage was not a good design. The top level was sagging and the bottom level was way to dark. I found that this I the BEST design of the cage that I have EVER done!!!! It works very well! I love it. I do wish that it was on a stand. Bu I don't have enough of the grids to make a stand, I just have enough for a play pen.

How i started with piggies

We I started out in June 06 with Smores and Ebony, who were my aunts pig's. Then Ebony passed away in November 06 and i had to get a piggy friend for Smores. So we went to a shelter and got Jazzy. Then in March I saw Lola and she just had to come home with me. Smores then passed away in May.

So from May 07 to December 08
i just had Jazzy and Lola.

Shortly after i came from the Americorps NCCC in November, my aunt who had acquired two more piggies. She give me Stella and Tink in December. She had gotten the like a year before, from a friend and felt sorry for them and took them in.

So i have slowly added piggies to my collection.

Oh ya...

Just some pictures of some of the girls. Like i said in the other post the girls are good. I fix the whole hay area and the *GASP* food bowl tipping issue from Miss Stella. You can see a brick in front of the food bowl which it cant tip anymore!! YAY now I'm not cleaning up and wasting food any more. As for the hay i put up some Coroplast behind the hay rack. The hay was felling and getting stuck between the wall and cage.

I had to redo the cage since Stella and Tink were giving Jazz and Lola problems when they would come up to the top level. It was like having to separate cages. It just did not work out. So now it is a 2x6 C&C cage. They are sooo much happier and so I'm I.

Been while

The girls are fine. Here are some updates. Stella still tips over the food bowl. Tink is getting along with everyone like always. So is Jazzy. Lola finished battling a bladder stone. Shes now fine. All the girls are great with each other. I found out a better way for them to eat the hay. I got tired of wasting hay when i would sweep it it. I bent a gird and clipped it to a side in the hay area. loss of a mess.
